Football Soccer: Real Madrid and Barcelona are ready for the most important clash

This Sunday, Real Madrid and Barcelona will play one of the most important derbies in the World. In fact, this game is so important that million of fans are expected to watch it on TV.

The game itself makes everyone nervous in Spain. But it's good for the fans to know that David Beckham was included Saturday in Real Madrid’s squad for this weekend’s league game against FC Barcelona after recovering from a left knee tendon injury.

The British player, who has failed to make Madrid’s starting lineup in five of the past six games, is reportedly set for the bench again.

Also included in Madrid’s 18-man squad for Sunday’s clash at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium was Spaniard forward Jose Antonio Reyes, who has missed the last two matches with a muscle tear in his right thigh.

We must consider that Jose Maria “Guti” Gutierrez has recovered from a swollen left ankle, although striker Ronaldo is suspended, and full backs Michel Salgado and Cicinho injured.

In the other hand, Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has omitted left back Giovanni van Bronckhorst and forward Santi Ezquerro from his squad for the game.

Their most important striker, Samuel Eto’o, and right back Juliano Belletti are sidelined through injury.

We must remember that Madrid, which hasn’t won a trophy since 2003, lies fifth with 11 points. Defending champion Barcelona leads with 16 points.
